Running the platform costs money: hosting, data capture, checks, development time, and AI/data processing all need to be paid for if the service is going to stay useful.

Current model

The public comparison table is free to use while the platform is being tested and improved. Advertising and affiliate links may be used to help cover costs, but price comparison rankings should remain based on factual price and unit-value information.

Future accounts

Later, NI Food Compass may add optional paid accounts for larger saved baskets, alerts, regular-shop tracking, and family shopping tools. Basic public comparison should remain useful without an account.
